[After almost a month.

Someone's eyes are opening.]

[And the stubborn walking starts again, this time his hand gripping hers a little.]

[It's still just as sad to watch, but she manages to tie at least a smaller version of that smile in place as she gently squeezes his hand and walks slowly along with him.]

[It might be because she's there, but his steps grow progressively steadier.]

[She won't make that correlation, but it makes her smile a little more genuine to see him getting his feet again. ~~It's not going to make her stick any less close, though.~~]

[Eventually, the only problem he's having is that his steps are a little stiff, but otherwise, he seems to be doing well. His shoulders relax a little and his grin widens.]
