Timeline: Just before his final boss battle
Canon Resource Links: Wiki link away!Personality:It could be said that out of Master Eraqus's apprentices, Terra is the most serious. He's level headed and calm most of the time, usually thinking things through before jumping into the fray (to the point that he
over thinks and this somehow misleads him more.) Unlike Ven and Aqua, he's not that outgoing, and he treats people with more respect and formality than the two younger apprentices. Despite his seemingly impassive and serious exterior though, his heart is kind. Too kind, that is; he can be easily trusting of people and this is what usually gets him in trouble. More often than not he trusts the first person he meets, which, unfortunately, are sometimes villains. This is also what led him to be easily be manipulated by Master Xehanort.
After the Master Qualification Exam, Terra questioned his abilities and capabilities after failing it. He has this intense desire to succeed, especially with his lifelong dream of being a Keyblade Master, which was crushed after he failed the exam. With some convincing words and a lot of flattery to his ego, Master Xehanort succeeds in making him think that he is Terra's only ally and the only one who sees him as a Master already. Eventually, this thinking led him to have a fall out with both Ven and Aqua in Radiant Garden, especially with accusing Aqua of spying him when all she did was try to watch over him. He slowly distances himself from his friends. Though he receives a wake up call when he takes out Braig's eye using Darkness. Even as Terra resumes traveling alone and distancing himself from his friends, he realizes that he still cares for them.
Despite the Darkness in his heart, there's a light in it that never goes out. Terra always has kindness in him, and even if he helped to cause some bad things, these were all done accidentally, as he never tried to harm anyone intentionally. He's always been regretful once he realizes what he's done, and he beats himself up over it for a time. And his primary driving force, apart from his dreams, is the deep connection he has to the people he cares about. Terra is extremely loyal to his friends, to the point of being overprotective. Even with Master Xehanort's meddling, the familial love for them never disappears and he would even take up arms against his own Master to try and protect them. He views his Master as his surrogate father figure, visibly being distraught at having a hand to his death. By the time the battle at the Keyblade Graveyard begins, Terra's resolve to protect the people left to him overshadows any doubts he has with Darkness; not to the extent that he's afraid to succumb to it, but that he's overcome this fear and is willing to use it to protect his friends.
The will of his heart is so strong that even after being possessed by Xehanort, his Lingering Will and his memories within the new Xehanort continue to fight for his friends.
Strengths/Weaknesses:Strengths- Terra is physically strong. His fighting technique centers around using brute strength, which allows him to wipe out enemies and mobs with as few hits as possible. This gives him the highest stamina out of all the apprentices, and makes him something of a Tank, since he can withstand strong hits (mostly to make up for his poor speed.)
The Keyblade is a versatile item that not only acts as a weapon, it also acts as a mode of transportation for the apprentices. Terra's in particular changes to a motorcycle-like vehicle. They need their armor whenever they travel. The older apprentices also have the capability to change their Keyblades into another weapon. In his case, a cannon. Apart from his magical and physical abilities, he has the power to use dimensional links by making bonds with friends in various worlds, and the use of special abilities called shotlocks. Of course, this will not apply to Route's setting. But nonetheless, Terra's fighting abilities are wide ranged.
- Terra values his friends the most. Even after the Darkness calls out to him, he still manages to keep his love for them. It serves as his strength to the point that he overcomes his fear of darkness, and is even determined to use it to protect his friends. Terra is normally a calm and collected person, but once the safety of his friends are threatened, he might do a fucking acrobatic pirouette off the handle. They're his berserk button, and also the his greatest motivation for trying to set things right.
Weaknesses- Because of his strength, Terra needs to channel his swings with extreme force to deliver powerful blows. As a result, he is physically the slowest out of all the apprentices. He doesn't have that many Aerial abilities, and this leaves to only limited dodging options.
- Despite of his link with Darkness, Terra is a friendly person. Too friendly, and too easy to trust someone. It could be bad luck on his part for meeting those people first, but the bottom line is that because of his trusting nature, he's been tricked and manipulated by several people he meets in various worlds.
- A great deal of Terra's problems started with him possessing Darkness. He seems to have had it for some time and lacks control of it. Even later on as he travels, this is his biggest weakness as he tries to find a way to control it, and its presence in his heart leads him to people that are drawn to Darkness as well, allowing them to trick him in exchange for information regarding his problem.
- Although his friends are his strength, they are also his weakness. He would do
anything for them. If anything should happen to them, it's going to put a lot of emotional strain on him.

SamplesFirst Person Sample: [Video]-- stop that.
[The feed opens up to a familiar face to Johto; Terra stares down at something that is clearly not the pokegear, a small, puzzled frown on his face. When he notices that the pokegear is doing something though, he places his attention to it. He's managed to read the manual. ]I'm sorry to interrupt whatever it is you're doing. But if anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to find my way out of this place. The... residents around don't seem to be of much help.
[He pauses long enough to glance down at something again, and grumbles a "So are you." to something. There's a low growl and Terra shift as if he nearly just avoided something, before turning his attention back to the gear.]My name is Terra and... I have no idea how I got here. But I need to leave as soon as possible. Though, if there's a possibility that any of you have seen a young woman named Aqua, or a teenage boy named Ven, please tel--
[The gear gets dropped as Terra yelps off cam. There's a loud "Pooch!! and the gear gets picked up, and taken for a wild and shaky ride as whoever (or whatever) is carrying it suddenly starts running to the direction of Route 29.]Hey! Get back here! NERDLETTE!
Third Person Sample: "Seems like I underestimated you."
Nerdlette peeks up at Terra from under her scruffy fur, turning her head as if berating her own Trainer for even judging her. The oldest apprentice couldn't help but let out a chuckle, sitting down with the new badge in hand. Underestimated, huh? Just like her namesake.
To be honest, it was still weird to him. He had always relied on his strenght and abilities to win battles. Watching from the sidelines and giving out orders to animals was something he never expected. He was used to the feel of the metal in his hand, to the rough blows of Unversed or even the blunt swinging attacks of his fellow apprentices when they landed hits on him in training.
He almost felt... helpless, to say the least. He had heard people treat this as if it was a second chance. According to them, this was his third time here. According to them, this was his third time here. He'd been sent home twice before and he didn't remember it. Lost memories of old friends, even old pokemon partners. Yet this world, it was so peaceful compared to what was waiting for him and his friends at home.
But what
did wait for them there? And who's to say he won't get sent home again? The badge felt small, insignificant in the palm of his callused hand. Master Xehanort stabbing himself, a flash of light, and that was it. That was all that happened before he found himself being pushed out a door by a woman claiming to be his mother.
Although most of the kids he met (some familiar faces, some that aren't, and some so identical it's uncanny) had been friendly, they'd admitted that they hadn't heard of him or his friends for years. Meaning something had happened.
He glanced down at the snoring Poochyena near his arm, smiling and leaning back as he looked at the sunset sky's bright red colors. He He knew he shouldn't be thinking. He knew knowing wouldn't change that fate. But.. he still wanted to know. But for now, he can live like this. Free from worrying, from trying to keep each other alive, and just living happily with his friends. Like they used to before he messed everything up. He knows Aqua and Ven both don't blame him, but he still intend to fix everything.
Getting up, Terra dusted himself off and pocketed the badge. The Poochyena followed him soundlessly, and Terra's mouth quirked into a smile when he felt its nose bump against his leg, as if stubbornly pushing him forward.
Forward, then.
